Entrepreneurship is essential for poverty reduction as it can promote economic growth, create new jobs, encourage innovation, raise standards of living, and contribute to a a diverse and dynamic economy.
However, women entrepreneurs face various financial challenges. They often make poor financial decisions that can jeopardize their businesses’ profitability and growth.
Women entrepreneurs struggle to secure funding due to a lack of collateral and financial records, making it difficult to invest in equipment and technology or meet financial obligations.
Additionally, women entrepreneurs lack the financial skills, education, and knowledge needed to develop business plans and financial projections and operate high-risk businesses that are attractive to investors.
During the fifth edition of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, CAWEECO and its partners will address financial problems faced by women entrepreneurs like: wealth creation, capital formation, funding opportunities, financial literacy, tax management, financial relationships, business growth financing, and risk-taking.
